Editors' ReviewDownload.com staffFebruary 29, 2024Specialized financial calculators can be incredibly useful, helping you calculate everything from how long it will take to pay off your credit card to how much money you can expect to have when you retire. MyPersonal Banker is a collection of more than 30 such calculators. Although the program works, there are other options that are easier to use. When we installed MyPersonal Banker the program prompted us to register before we continued. We had a choice between that and a 45-second waiting period each time we opened the program. We opted to wait and see what MyPersonal Banker had to offer. The program's interface is pretty straightforward, with its various calculators listed in its center frame. The calculators are grouped into categories; these include Loans/Credits, Investments/Saving, Evaluation of investment plans, Credit cards, Interest rates/loan costs, Currencies/Exchange, Cheques/Shares, and Fixed assets. There's also a Tools section that includes a regular calculator, a calendar, and a days-between-dates calculator. Although the calculators worked fine as far as we could tell, the labels on some of the fields weren't always clear, and the consistent misspelling of the word "installment" made it hard to take the program completely seriously. The program does come with a surprisingly detailed Help file that explains all of its features. Overall, MyPersonal Banker isn't bad, but most of what it contains can easily be found on Web sites like Bankrate.com.MyPersonal Banker comes as a ZIP file. It installs a desktop icon without asking and leaves a Start menu icon behind upon removal.
