Editors' ReviewDownload.com staffNovember 14, 2019If you're on a budget, but want to have a school raffle or Bingo night, Club Raffle can help. The program is free of charge, but you should plan to spend some time getting it set up to suit your needs.Club Raffle's very basic interface is mostly a large text prompt to upgrade to the paid version. A basic menu at the top lets you select the four basic options, which include three drawings and one Bingo game. The drawings all announce a winner, and it wasn't clear at first how to customize the fields. A little onscreen help would have been nice, but we had to dig to find the packed Options menu. Here, the directions were good, allowing you to change the prizes and customize other game features. If you plan on entering actual names for the raffles, you'll need to create a text file with one name per line, which could be time-consuming if you have a lot of entrants. There are only three themes to choose from, and the default is Halloween. We opted to turn off Microsoft Anna, as the numbers or winners were flashed onscreen and the audio wasn't necessary. Once you have your options set up, you just choose one of the drawings or the Bingo game from the menu and it will run automatically after a short countdown and another plug for the upgrade. For smaller groups or classroom fun, Club Raffle offers a fairly easy way to show a game of Bingo or random raffle onscreen. Once it's started, you can just let it run. The themes are limited, but they look fine, and, as you're reminded often, you can always upgrade to get more variety.
