Pokemon Scarlet and Violet has announced that trainers can now participate in a Mass Outbreak featuring Tinkatink, and two Five-Star Tera Raid battles against Bellibolt and Corviknight. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players will have until December 5 to battle and catch each featured critter via Mass Outbreaks and Tera Raids.
The new Pokemon Scarlet and Violet event is the first of three in the lead-up to the Shiny Rayquaza Tera Raid, starting December 19. However, each event will feature Pokemon that are considered viable for most Tera Raid battles, with Corviknight and Bellibolt being just two examples. As a Steel and Flying dual-type Pokemon, Corviknight can set up defenses via Reflect and Light Screen, and use Taunt to stop Tera Raid bosses from bolstering their stats. As for Bellibolt, the EleFrog Pokemon's true power lies in its Electromorphosis ability, which boosts the power of its next Electric-type attack if it takes a hit.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players looking to prepare for Shiny Rayquaza now have their first opportunity to do so. The Tinkatink Mass Outbreak and Five-Star Tera Raids against Corviknight and Bellibolt started on November 28 at 7:00 PM Eastern and the event will conclude on December 5, at 6:59 PM Eastern. Corviknight and Bellibolt are level 75 and can use various Tera types. Corviknight's moves are Scary Face, Drill Peck, Hone Claws, Steel Wing, and Brave Bird, whereas Bellibolt will use Electric Terrain, Spark, Weather Ball, Discharge, and Sucker Punch. The rare Spicy Herba Mystica sandwich ingredient can be obtained from these Five-Star Tera Raid bosses, and Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players can farm them as often as they like until December 5.
As for Tinkatink, the Metalsmith Pokemon will appear throughout Paldea in Mass Outbreaks. Tinkatink has an increased chance of holding the Ferocious Mark, and Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players will not need The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC to participate. Pokemon trainers looking for a strong Fairy-type team member to bring into battle against Shiny Rayquaza will find one in Tinkatink's fully-evolved form, the Hammer Pokemon called Tinkaton. Alongside Tinkatink, Chansey will appear in a separate Mass Outbreak event until January 5. Defeating Chansey outbreaks will grant more experience points than normal, meaning Pokemon trainers can quickly level a Tinkatink or other creatures in this way.
Alongside the new events, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players do not have much time to claim three Mystery Gift Codes, as those expire on November 30. All in all, a busy time awaits Pokemon trainers to close out 2024.
