Engrossing gameplay: The racing controls are limited to tapping to accelerate at the start and then switching gears, but the gameplay remains challenging because you have to switch (tap) at just the right time. You start with small cars and easy races and then gradually work your way to challenge the five in-game racing gangs; after beating the tier three gang boss, you can start playing online multiplayer games and competing in tournaments. Dealership, upgrades, and customizations: What makes this game truly captivating is the stunning collection of cars you can buy with the in-app currency and then upgrade with new engines, tires, bodies, and other parts, before personalizing with custom plates, paint, and decals.Cons Only drag races: Enjoyable as it is, this game's not a standard racing game, in that you can't fully control your car; in fact, during races you can only switch gears. If you're used to standard racing games where you control your car's direction and speed, you may feel like something's missing from the gameplay. Expensive in-app purchases: To buy gas for your car, unlock supercars, or get the best upgrades, you need to buy in-app cash and gold coins, which cost tens of dollars. Unlike other games, the in-app purchases are more or less necessary for you to enjoy the game.Bottom Line Hands down one of the best racing games for Android, CSR Racing has all the ingredients of a great game: addictive gameplay, stunning graphics, progression and rewards, and a high replayability.
